Catching up

Things have been pretty busy since Kenna arrived.  We had Vacation Bible School last week, T-ball practices and games, going to the pool twice, Pioneer Days, Kenna had a friend spend the weekend with us and company coming and going.  I have a lot more to update, but this gives you a general idea of what has been happening.  I didn't take any pictures of Pioneer Days because keeping track of 7 kids was more than enough for me to do. 

Tanner's visit

Jared's cousin Tanner is here for the weekend.  He has been a HUGE help.  He is teaching the kids how to ride horses.  He helped Jared build some fence and he went with Jared to pick up 4 calves Saturday morning.  The kids love having him here and we hope he comes back soon!

 Our 4 new members of our family.  3 of them are bottle fed.  The boys thought they would love that, but realized quickly it wasn't as easy as it sounds.

Life on the farm

We are turning into a zoo!!  Oh wait!  We are already a zoo.  We are just adding the proper animals now to finish out the zoo.

 One morning Jake came running downstairs.  "Mom we have baby birds upstairs."  Obviously this surprised me a little.  I looked at Matthew and said, "Do you have baby birds upstairs?"  "No, Mom!  I don't have baby birds in my room."  Hmmmmm....  I looked at Jake and asked him to show me the baby birds.  Upstairs we go and this box was sitting next to Matt's bed.  I looked at Matt and asked, "Are you sure you don't have baby birds in your room?"  "Oh, you mean those baby birds?!"  Goodness!

 My chickens.  I seriously find these birds interesting.  I'm not sure why!

 Holly found a nice soft spot to lay while Jared was trying to find the bullsnake that snuck in our well pit.  Yes, you can add snakes to our zoo!
